The
GPs and practice nurses are available outwith surgery times for telephone consultations.
The
health visitor and district nurse are also available for telephone consultations
and can be contacted by phoning on 554231.

DO I... MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT ?
If you wish to make an appointment please PHONE 570570.
Patients aged
16 to 74 who have not had a consultation within the last three years are invited
to make an appointment with the practice nurse for a general health check. Patients
aged 75 or over who have not had a consultation for more than 12 months are invited
to do the same.
Make An Urgent Appointment
If
you feel your problem is urgent, please say so and you can be seen at short notice.
EMERGENCIES
WILL OF COURSE BE ATTENDED TO AT ANY TIME.

A HOME VISIT ?
If the patient is too ill to travel, a house visit may be requested. If possible,
please phone before 10.00am. Please be prepared to give the receptionist a few
details of the illness. They are trained to deal with this in confidence. It helps
us to decide which calls we should do first.

if telephone advice is appropriate.
HOW
DO I... OBTAIN
TEST RESULTS?

Most results take at least 48 hours to come back from
the lab. Please phone after 4.00pm on any day to check your results. The receptionist
will give you the result or advise you to make an appointment to see the doctor.
While we would normally contact you if the test showed something serious, you
should always contact us to receive the result.
